About Us
Joe Murray, Chief Executive Officer
Joe handles the general management of WTR Tech. He co-founded two successful startups, authored numerous white papers on hardware, software and various IT related issues and in past years worked as a contract tech writer for several Silicon Valley based companies including HP, Intel and others. He holds a degree in electrical engineering and a masters in both business administration and philosophy. He has been a San Francisco resident for fifty years and is one of the founders and original investors in WTR. He is an avid open-ocean sailor and has crossed both the Atlantic and Pacific on more than one occasion.
Jay Weiss, CFO
Jay joins WTR Tech as our new Chief Financial Officer. He has a twenty-year history of both residential and commercial financing during which time he’s arranged or participated in the funding of over a billion dollars in multiple real estate ventures. Jay has previously consulted in the financial aspects of the founding of WTR Tech.
Jeff Weiss: Supply Chain & International Trade Manager
Among the first 100 employees of Apple Computers, Jeff has had a long and successful career in Silicon Valley. He joins WTR Tech to lead the company through the critical stage of prototyping by sourcing and procuring the parts necessary to create the first AquaTerra.
Leslie Nicodemus, Web Design
Leslie is the architect and webmaster for WTRtechnologies.com. She has created several award winning websites over the last twenty years. Prior to her career in web design, she worked as a computer specialist, technical advisor and educator in several school systems in Florida and California. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland.
Brenda Make, CAD/CAM
Brenda, WTR Tech’s resident computer maven, created and continues to enhance the AquaTerra development. Her work has been key to the “elegant solution” of the AquaTerra project.
Chuck Weiss, Founder and Chairman
Founder and Chairman of the board of directors, Chuck had a true passion for mechanical engineering and was involved with everything from automotive technology to irrigation systems to biochemical strategy in agricultural products. Chuck designed and developed the patent-pending injection system for the AquaTerra and created the water saving polymer formula the machine uses. Chuck attended college on an athletic scholarship, playing varsity football all four years. He later participated in the NFL draft. He was a resident of Silicon Valley for over forty years. Chuck passed away in March, 2019. He will be missed.
